About our facility
The CNU weight room is a 1,500 square foot facility located in Radcliffe Hall on the campus of the school. The weight room is located within walking distance of all other athletic facilities on campus. The weight room is in room 168 and is down the hall from both the athletic training room and the coaching offices for Football, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Baseball, Softball, and Men’s and Women’s Soccer. The weight room is spacious enough to have 40 to 50 athletes lifting together at once. At CNU, however, most lifting groups max out at approximately 20 athletes, making for more than enough room to safely get through a workout.
There are several features that should be mentioned about the CNU Strength and Conditioning weight room, they include:
- 8 York half racks with power lifting platforms attached.
- Each rack contains enough iron plate weights to lift almost 500 lbs.
- All platforms have a nearby weight caddy containing an assortment of bumper plates for safe power lifting.
- A leg press machine that contains 6 100 lb. plates.
- An adjacent room which contains 5 incline benches located directly beside our dumbbell station.
- The weight room contains dumbbells ranging in weights from 5 to 150 lbs. and the total amount of dumbbell weights totals over 5,500 lbs.
- All together, the CNU Strength and Conditioning weight room contains approximately 13,000 lbs. of free weights.
- Also contained in the weight room are:
- A Magnum 2-station Lat machine
- 2 Jammer Press machines made by Hammer Strength
- 1 Hammer Bench station made by Hammer Strength
- 1 Eagle Multi-Hip machine
- 2 Magnum Hamstring Curl/Leg Extension machines
- 2 York Glute/Ham machines.
- 2 Life Fitness Stationary Bikes
- 2 Life Fitness Elliptical machines
The Radcliffe weight room is adequate in both space and capabilities to have each and every CNU athlete ready to perform their best no matter what sport they play.
